Making the Graphika Materials

Working on the Graphika Manila materials was a fun exercise for everyone in the studio. Our summer interns (Raf, Monica & Shanice) worked with us on the conceptualization and the shoot. :) We wanted to create something different, so we went with a more “analog” approach.

I’ve been doing work with the use wooden 3D pieces before (with Edward the manong craftsman), so we decided to use the same material. There were some things and shots we never got to use, but it’s cool. :)

1. Me and Raf setting up while Berns is framing
2. Cross section of the big hole with the wooden pieces
3. Berns setting up the lights
4. The incredible interns
5. The big hole
6. We never got to use the white wooden pieces
7. Some outtakes
8. That’s me finalizing the layout. Some of the brainstorm notes are still on the wall
9. The final GM poster

So glad I was able to help out with this!!! Thank you Plus63 for having me as an intern :D
